                                                        In September 2011, Katarina Bradić made her debut at the Teatro Real Madrid in a new production of Elektra, conducted by Semyon Bychkov. Further engagements during the 2011/2012 season include her house debut at Komische Oper Berlin in the title role of a new production of Carmen, her role debut as Amastre in Händel's Xerxes in a new production by Stefan Herheim, also at Komische Oper Berlin and, as Dritte Dame in Die Zauberflöte, her comeback to Deutsche Oper Berlin, where as a member of the ensemble she was singing a wide range of mezzo and contralto roles in 2010/11. Also in 2012, she will sing Amastre in Bergen in the production of Komische Oper Berlin.

                                                        On the concert platform, she will be heard in Lisbon in Bach's Weihnachtsoratorium in December 2011 and at the Berliner Philharmonie in Mozart's Requiem in January 2012.

                                                        Katarina Bradić was born in Prokuplje, Serbia. She finished her studies and received a degree in music pedagogy and voice at the Music Academy of Novi Sad in Serbia. Mrs. Bradić made her operatic debut in 2002 at the Serbian National Theatre as Mamma Lucia in Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana and since then has performed roles such as Nicklausse in Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann, Dritte Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Maddalena in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Flora in La Traviata, and as a Cretan woman in Mozart’s Idomeneo with the Vienna State Opera. Mrs. Bradić recently toured Japan performing the role of Flora in all the major cities and Opera houses.

                                                        In November 2008, she sang the title role in Francesco Pistocchi’s opera Il Narciso in a concert performance in Cologne, conducted by Kai Wessel. Also in fall 2008, Mrs. Bradić returned to Japan in the role of Maddelena in Verdi’s Rigoletto, the same role she performed at the St Margarethen Festival in summer 2009. Along with her opera career, Mrs. Bradić has a very active oratorio career. She made her debut as the Alto Soloist in a tour of Mozart’s Requiem, which took place in several cities throughout Russia and has most recently performed Beethoven’s 9th symphony in Tbilisi, Georgia.

                                                        During the season 2009/2010, Katarina Bradić was a member of the Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp and Gent. Her most important assignments there were Medea in Cavalli’s Giasone in a new production, conducted by Federico Maria Sardelli, Olga in a new production of Tchaikovsky’s Jevgenij Onegin, Suzuki in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly and Margret in Berg’s Wozzeck in a production by Guy Joosten.

                                                        In addition to her ensemble contracts at Vlaamse Opera and Deutsche Oper Berlin, Katarina Bradic  gave a highly successful role debut as Bizet's Carmen for the Klosterneuburg Festival in Austria in July 2010 and could be heard in the title role of Il Narciso in Cologne, conducted by Kai Wessel in May 2011.


                                                        A Blueray of Die Liebe der Danae from Deutsche Oper Berlin with Mrs Bradic singing the role of Leda was released in November 2011 and a DVD and Blueray release of Cavalli's Giasone from Vlaamse Opera will follow soon.
